Chokkad Grama Panchayat is a collective body of elected representatives responsible for carrying out the administrative functions of the Panchayati Raj system. In the case of a Grama Panchayat, it is the principal committee that implements the decisions of the Gram Sabha and manages the day-to-day administration of the village.The main components of the Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat. The President presides over meetings and oversees the overall functioning and administration of the Panchayat.Vice President: Assumes the responsibilities of the President in his or her absence and assists in the administration of Panchayat affairs.
